With the arrival of spring’s berries, we receive some of nature’s best skincare products. Eating these juicy berries will provide you with the nutrition you need to be healthy from the inside out.
Berries are bursting with Vitamin C. Vitamin C is largely responsible for the production of collagen, a protein in the skin that helps maintain elasticity and tone for soft, supple-looking skin.
Berries are rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants help your body neutralize the damage of free radicals caused by stress and excessive UV exposure which contribute to skin cell damage and premature skin aging.
Berries are composed of 85 to 90 percent water, helping you to hydrate your skin. Hydrated skin naturally diminishes fine wrinkles and makes skin look younger and more radiant.
Berries not only taste great but can be used to make your own skin care products. In the mask below, the strawberry juice helps to tighten the skin while the cream hydrates tired and dehydrated skin
