Luckily, canned tomatoes come in several varieties and are quick and easy to use:
• Diced tomatoes can be tossed into a pasta salad, used in a guacamole recipe or added to quick-cooking sauces.
• Crushed tomatoes can be used easily for a pasta sauce. Just add garlic, pepper and oregano.
• Whole peeled tomatoes work great for soups, stews and meat sauces.
